Dining & Hospitality

Since our inception, Abigail Kirsch has built a proud reputation on exceptional catering services. We’ve always loved creating unforgettable, restaurant-caliber food experiences—and forming meaningful and lasting connections—with our private catering clients.

So we took our business concept to the next level in 2014.

That’s when AK partnered with NYC nightlife veteran and restaurateur David Rabin on the thrilling launch and management of The Skylark, a spectacular rooftop lounge in Midtown Manhattan. Most recently, we’ve collaborated again with Rabin in operating TwentyThree Grand, a unique dining and event space at ModernHaus SoHo, as well as the hotel’s famed rooftop lounge, JIMMY.

We hope you’ll visit us soon at one of our exciting new dining and lounge venues. We like nothing more than getting to know our guests personally, feeding them a truly great meal, and creating a standout memory that they’ll talk about for years to come.

We take great pride in our food catering services in the NYC area. Get in touch with us to learn more today.

The Skylark

There’s nothing more magical than watching the sun set 30 stories above NYC, as the light shimmers off skyscrapers and the Hudson River. Located in the heart of the Fashion District, The Skylark delivers a quintessential cocktail lounge experience with expansive panoramic Manhattan views that include The Empire State Building and Times Square. With multi-level indoor spaces and an open-air rooftop terrace, The Skylark is also an all-season destination: Take in spectacular city views that include the Empire State Building from the main lounge’s soaring windows during cool weather, and mingle in alluring outdoor spaces when the weather warms. Either way, enjoy exclusive house cocktails and a variety of small plates as you take in some of the best views of Midtown Manhattan.

Eighteen stories high atop The Modernhaus SoHo hotel, JIMMY is a contemporary interpretation of the classic pub, with a fun 1970s New York vibe. Unlike typical rooftop bars, JIMMY draws a loyal year-round following: Claim a warm-weather spot around the pool on a luxe chaise lounge—or a cold-weather spot at the inside conversation pit. Indulge in refreshing libations and light bites as you take in unrivaled panoramic views of Midtown, Wall Street, the Hudson River, and the East River bridges.

Our story began in the mid-1960s with our visionary founder Abigail Kirsch turning her love of food into a cooking school in the basement of her home. After attending the Culinary Institute of America and furthering her studies in France—one of the world’s capitals of gastronomy—she launched her namesake catering business in the mid-’70s with her husband Bob. Joined by their son Jim a few years later, this family enterprise began evolving from off-premise catering in the Greater metropolitan area into operating exclusive event venues throughout Westchester, NYC, and CT. Rounding out the ownership team, Chef Alison Awerbuch became a partner in the 1990s.

Throughout the years, Abigail Kirsch has built a strong foundation by striving for the highest levels of excellence throughout every aspect of the business for both our clients and our teams. In 2016, the Kirsch family brought in Elior North America to collaborate in reaching our goals of unparalleled food artistry, exquisite execution, and world-class service. Today, our dedicated team of creative culinary and hospitality professionals is led by VP of Operations for the Northeast, Kevin Kelly as we forge ahead with exciting new opportunities.
